Hulkamania

Cole asking for a callback from Hulkster nation. “Where all my Hulksters at?” Hulkamania is coming back and it looks like Cole wants to be at the forefront in his aforementioned prison jumpsuit from his Aunt Amy and Uncle Matt. I have to say that playing “keep away the pacifier” has led to hours and hours of fun in our household and I strongly recommend it.

Bummer.

Today the Phils lost the voice of the team and a voice that lead us through the twists and turns, ups and downs of every game. Listening to Harry Kalas call a game on the radio was truly a joy and he will be sorely missed. I think Cole will be tired of listening to Harry calling the last out of the 2008 World Series by the time he is 3; but I know I won’t.

I know what I will be when I grow up…

Apparently Uncle Matt and Aunt Amy have their thoughts on what I will be when I grow up – how else do you explain the prison jumpsuit they got me? Sure everyone oohed and aahed — but I think it’s because they were wondering how someone so young could be going to prison. Hopefully, I won’t meet Ron Mexico in prison, otherwise he will have me fighting other inmates about my size. Now, where did I put my shiv…

What the Hell?!?

Day 14: I have only been around for two weeks, but I think I am smarter than these two idiots — especially the furry faced one. They may provide food and shelter, but the conversation has been as interesting as staring at the wall of my crib. At this point, I am hoping to take them for all they are worth and get the hell out of here.

Good Morning Cole

Good Morning ColeJust a shot of Cole in the morning with the sun breaking on his crib.

Eye of the tiger…or is that a monkey?

Cole Powers - After Doctor Cole had his first visit with the doctor today. They were very pleased with his progress as he put on 6 oz. He has been an eatin’, poopin’ and cryin’ machine since he got home. This shot is of the 1.2 seconds he stopped crying while in his swing for the first time.

Doylestown Hospital – A BIG Thank You

Doylestown Hospital - Maternity Nurses We can not be more appreciative of the help we received from the nurses in the Maternity Ward at Doylestown Hospital. Jamie had a complete cheering section during delivery and a complete support system up to and after pushing out Lil’ Cole.

Cole came home

Cole came home yesterday from the hospital and slept through the whole ride. I think it was due to my fantastic driving ability, but Jamie insists it’s just because he is a newborn. Whatever.

Eyes Wide Open

Cole only has his eyes open for a few moments at a time, so this shot was a long time coming. He has a little bit of a sore spot on his head (and as of this morning, his bottom too). The spot on his head is from the suction used during birth — apparently “sunny side up” is not the ideal way to come into the world.

Cole Harrison Powers

Cole is happy and content for now. I expect this will change when we no longer have the help of a maternity ward and all its fantastic nurses. Cole is doing great.
