The Powers Report

Unfortunately, Cole hasn’t picked up sarcasm so I guess he really did think that Tennessee turf was as soft as angel whispers.

At least I wasn’t the one taking the picture this time.

They had to put down both cows to make the swirl.

I went to check on Cole in the middle of the night and was startled to not find him in his crib — when I heard the door creaking open.

After a firm reprimand for being out so late, I carried him up the steps to his room — but he wouldn’t let go of the bag when I tried to take it from him. After a half hour of fighting, I let him keep it.

When I went in this morning, the bag was nowhere to be seen and Cole was sitting silently in his crib waiting for me. I am a bit concerned since we haven’t seen Hobbes all day but nothing else has happened since.

We are reenacting The Natural with Cole playing the role of Roy Hobbs. We are at the part where Roy strikes out The Whammer — beautiful sunny day where nothing matters but baseball.

Boy, I hope nothing bad happens to ol’ Roy.

I think we all know how this ended.
